Revolutionizing Sustainability: Lock&Lock and Hanwha Total Energy Unite for a Greener Future Through Innovative Resource Recycling and Upcycling
Lock&Lock is promoting eco-friendly business in collaboration with Hanwha Total Energy.
According to Lock&Lock on the 28th, waste plastic collected through the resource circulation campaign ‘Love for Planet’ will be delivered to Hanwha Total Energy. Hanwha Total Energy continues its cooperation for resource circulation by processing these into industrial materials and commercializing them.
Lock&Lock’s ‘Love for Planet’, which started in 2020, is an activity that collects old plastic sealed containers and regenerates them into household goods and public facilities, and has established itself as Korea’s representative resource circulation campaign. Plastic sealed containers collected through the ‘Love for Planet’ campaign last year were used to create replica benches for the Jeju Olle Trail.
This year, 22 organizations, including the Korea Minting and Security Mint, Pepper Savings Bank, and Heungkuk Life Insurance, participated in the ‘Love for Planet Campaign.’ Beautiful Store and Jeju Olle ran a campaign in which about 2,300 citizens participated. The collected waste plastic goes through a crushing process and is delivered to Hanwha Total Energy in the form of pellets, where it is recycled as industrial materials.
A Lock&Lock official said, “We are very happy to be working with Hanwha Total Energy on a meaningful project in which discarded waste plastics are reborn as industrial materials that can be used in everyday life. Citizens and companies who participated in the campaign are working together to promote resource circulation and environmental protection.” “We will work closely together to become a good example that can publicize the importance of ,” he said.
