Port of Cotonou Modernizes with Latest Generation Gantry Quay
New Equipment to Enhance Loading and Unloading Operations of Container Ships
Africa Global Logistics’ subsidiary, Bénin Terminal, has acquired a new latest generation quay gantry for the Port of Cotonou, manufactured by ZPMC (Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.). This state-of-the-art equipment, valued at 7.2 billion FCFA (11 million euros), will significantly improve the efficiency of loading and unloading operations of container ships.

The new quay gantry is part of the port modernization program, which includes the installation of three more gantry cranes by 2026. This acquisition will also meet the growing needs of hinterland countries, including Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. Bénin Terminal is committed to reducing its environmental footprint through its Green Terminal label.
