Guangdong Business Delegation Showcases Digital and Green Service Trade at CIFTIS
The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) kicked off in Beijing on September 12, with the theme “Guangdong Services, Global Sharing.” The Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, along with other provincial departments, organized 39 enterprises from 10 cities, including Guangzhou and Zhuhai, to participate in the provincial and municipal comprehensive exhibition area. Over 200 enterprises also participated in the online exhibition in the virtual exhibition hall.
In the field of digital technology, 10 companies, including PowerLeader and Gudong Technology, demonstrated innovative application scenarios of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. Guangzhou Cois Digital Technology Co., Ltd. showcased its latest black technology, a small-size holographic fan screen, with a unique naked-eye 3D effect and a three-dimensional transparent display screen.
In the field of industrial design, 8 companies, including Dongguan Aifen Biotechnology Co., Ltd., showcased new products made in Guangdong, highlighting the huge market potential of innovative design in enhancing product added value and meeting consumers’ personalized needs. Huazhishu’s intelligent spine conditioning robot, Mojia’s panoramic screen art TV, and Chenchuang Technology’s security radar equipment received widespread attention.

The Guangdong delegation also set up a cultural trade exhibition area, with six companies, including Guangdong Yongsheng Animation Co., Ltd., displaying the results of the integration of culture, technology, and creative design. Yongsheng Animation’s “Pig Man,” “Falling into the Mortal World,” and “The School Bus” and other animation-related derivatives are very popular in the market.
The Guangdong Pavilion also set up financial services and education services exhibition areas for the first time, with 8 financial institutions and 7 colleges and universities participating. Goldpac Co., Ltd. is a frequent visitor to the Services Trade Fair, and this year’s participation will focus on cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing to promote technological innovation and the upgrading of business models.
In recent years, knowledge-intensive service trade characterized by digitalization, intelligence, and greening has increasingly become a new engine and new driving force for the development of Guangdong’s service trade. In 2023, the province’s service imports and exports reached US$158.69 billion, ranking second in the country. In the first half of this year, Guangdong’s total service imports and exports reached US$89.36 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.1%, accounting for 17.6% of the country.
Knowledge-intensive service imports and exports grew rapidly, with service imports and exports reaching US$49.9 billion, accounting for 55.8% of the total service trade, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%.
