Rhythms of the Heart: The Kings of Tamborera Unleash ‘Canto Pueblero’ in a Soulful Tribute to Zuliano’s Enduring Musical Legacy
Canto Pueblero: A Tribute to Zulia’s Musical Heritage
The winners of international bagpipes of the year for two consecutive years return to pay tribute to the passion and musical love that Zuliano feels towards the music that has managed to represent us honorably in almost every corner of the world.
“Canto Pueblero” features the masterful interpretation of Adafel Uzcategui, member of the Reyes de Tamborera brand, and the special collaboration of Rafael “Pollo” Brito, the latter recognized for his attention and dedication to the musical culture of Zulia.
Composers José Luis Vargas and Aly Ojeda define the meaning of this work, which is a reflection of the passion that we Zulianos feel for our customs and traditions.
This song is the feeling and expression of our native song, with a rhythmic and harmonic tone as fascinating musical decorations to elevate our greatest folk expression, “La Gaita”. It’s a tribute to great cultists who have left their mark with their beautiful work and their love for this beautiful rhythm of ours.
With “Canto Pueblero”, we intend to delight Gaita lovers, inside and out of our country. It’s the heartbeat of those who live our traditions fully, those voices with talent and love promoting our “HUNDRED TOWN”.
The musical development between the United States and Maracaibo/Zulia/Venezuela was made under the musical production of Algimiro Nava, the arrangements of Algimiro Nava and Gustavo Luengo, and the Executive Direction of Armando García.
Listen to “Canto Pueblero” now, available in all media and digital platforms in the country.
