WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair revealed during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, that he was banned from attending WrestleMania 41 after threatening to physically confront Ludwig Kaiser.

Flair stated that he confronted Kaiser due to the wrestler’s then-relationship with Tiffany Stratton, whom Flair referred to as Stratton’s husband despite the two never being married. He claimed the confrontation occurred after Stratton made a comment about Ashley’s divorces, which Flair suggested was scripted.

According to Flair, he obtained Kaiser’s phone number and directly warned him, saying, “When I see you, I’m gonna beat the s–t out of you.” Flair said Kaiser then reported the incident to Hunter, resulting in Flair being barred from WrestleMania 41.

Flair questioned Kaiser’s current status in WWE, asking Helwani where the wrestler is and whether he remains on the roster. Helwani responded that Kaiser has been wrestling in Mexico, to which Flair replied, “I’m sure he is. I hope he stays.”

During the interview, Flair discussed his financial history with Vince McMahon, stating that McMahon loaned him $800,000 to help him through three divorces, not to pay the IRS as some have speculated. Flair emphasized that he repaid every dollar of the loan.

“Everybody in the world who likes wrestling should be thanking Vince McMahon… He knows how I feel about him. He lent me $800k, and unlike what people portray, it was not for the IRS. It was to help me get through three divorces at one time. I paid him back every dime. You know how hard We see to pay taxes on $800k in phantom income? It took me five years to get out of that hole—all because I paid him back,” Flair said.

Flair also claimed that Dennis Rodman reached out to him requesting that Flair induct him into the WWE Hall of Flair. Flair said he conveyed the request to the appropriate parties but never received a response. Rodman was ultimately inducted by fellow nWo members Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman.

Reflecting on his legacy, Flair argued that given his contributions to professional wrestling, he deserves a red carpet extending to the front row at events. He added that he holds no grudges but criticized the current state of the industry.

“I’m not mad at anybody. I understand it’s politics now. It’s too much politics and not enough wrestling,” Flair stated.
