Bland secured victory at last year’s tournament, marking his senior major debut with a final round of 8-under 63. This performance led to a three-shot victory at Harbor Shores. The Senior PGA title was Bland’s first since his British Masters win in 2021.
“My game is in pretty good shape right now,” Bland said, expressing confidence in his ability to contend for the championship. He acknowledged the high level of competition, noting the presence of numerous legends in the field. “I’m under no illusions that I’ll just turn up adn take the trophy,” he added,emphasizing the need for strong play to secure a chance at winning.
Bland dedicated his Senior PGA Championship win last year to his brother, Heath, who had been diagnosed with cancer.
