Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades,Calif., is planning a grand reopening in “early to mid” 2026, following devastating fires. rick Caruso, owner of the luxury shopping and dining destination, announced the news alongside plans for revitalization efforts.
A key component of the Palisades Village rebuild is the addition of a flagship Elyse Walker store. Walker, a retail veteran with existing stores in New york, Newport Beach, and Southampton, lost her Palisades shop in the recent fires. Her new store will occupy a prominent corner location at Sunset Boulevard and swarthmore Avenue.
Caruso CEO Corinne Verdery emphasized the commitment to the community. ”Our future here at Palisades Village is brighter than ever,” Verdery said. The goal is to bring back families, small businesses, and jobs to spark economic revival and strengthen the Palisades.
Plans include reconstructing the public park, restoring streetscapes with new sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping. The annual Christmas tree lighting and Menorah celebration will return this holiday season, and a new dining concept will be announced soon.
caruso, who founded Steadfast L.A. to prioritize action in city rebuilding, spoke about the importance of public-private partnerships. He noted that common spaces are crucial for fostering community. “People wont to congregate.Thay want to shop, they want to dine, they want to gather,” Caruso said.
Caruso said he contacted Walker a few weeks ago with the idea for her to move into the Palisades Village space. “Elyse said, ‘I am in, let’s rebuild the Palisades,'” Caruso recalled.
Walker, a Palisades resident, expressed optimism despite the visible destruction. “Today is an exciting day. It’s also with mixed emotion as just five months ago, we watched our beloved community of the Pacific Palisades experience incredible loss,” she said, referring to the loss of her flagship store.
She emphasized that her new location will be more than just a retail space. “Our goal is to create jobs and enthusiasm,” Walker said.”Reopening in the Palisades and moving our flagship across the street to the Palisades Village is incredibly exciting and crucial as we focus our efforts on supporting the strong and resilient town.”
“It’s a truly magical moment to be working together, and I know that this community is not going to be coming back, it’s going to be roaring back,” caruso said.
“Today is the beginning of our rebuilding efforts,” Walker said.
