Rikishi shares Health Update and Newfound Gratitude
Professional wrestler Rikishi, whose real name is Solofa Fatu Jr., recently revealed he underwent a medical procedure that he described as being “caught just in time.” Fatu, known for his energetic performances in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), stated he is recovering well and experiencing a renewed sense of well-being. “I woke up feeling great,” he saeid, “I feel like a new person.”
The health scare prompted a critically important shift in Rikishi’s viewpoint on life and his relationships with others.He emphasized a desire to mend past disagreements and prioritize connection.
“I woke up, you know, feeling a different way when I got wheeled back to the room… meaning just grateful,” Rikishi shared.”Things that I might have, you know, had beef with who and who back in the day, like, I want to make all that right… there’s so much more to life than to be able to be upset at each other… life, to me, is not so bad, after all, when you give it another chance to live.”
Expressing Gratitude for Support
Rikishi concluded his update by publicly thanking his fans, family, and colleagues for the outpouring of support he received during his recovery. He specifically acknowledged the encouragement from fellow wrestlers.
“I want to thank all the fans that are out there. Thank you to family and friends,” he said. “Thank you to all my real ones that are out there… my co-workers, a lot of the rosters that are out there. Thank you guys so much for the love and respect… But I am fine. Big Keisha is here. I ain’t going nowhere soon.”
