Rise and Serve: Morning Tennis Magic in Mejiro
Improving My Tennis Skills with a New Coach
Hello, I’m Yamazaki, and I’m excited to share my experience of improving my tennis skills with a new coach. This year, I’ve set my sights on taking my game to the next level, and I’m eager to learn from the best.
Recently, I visited the Taisho Central Tennis School Mejiro branch for a morning practice session. Located just 10 minutes from Takadanobaba Station, I was amazed by the numerous tennis courts in the heart of the city.
I had the opportunity to practice with Coach Matsuo from Hachi Fami, who provided valuable insights and guidance. Coach Kuroda also joined us on the court, and together, we worked on my technique.
The court was an omni court, which proved to be quite slippery. As I’m accustomed to practicing on hard courts, my lack of footwork was evident. However, with the coaches’ expert advice, I was able to identify areas for improvement and work on my footwork.
One of the key takeaways from the session was the importance of maintaining a consistent pace and rhythm. I was encouraged to focus on my footwork and movement around the court, which will undoubtedly enhance my overall game.
Practicing in a new environment with a new coach was a refreshing experience, and I’m eager to return and continue my training. The opportunity to learn from experienced coaches and play on different courts will undoubtedly help me achieve my tennis goals.
