Affordable Housing Solution in Sarajevo Canton

KS Fund and Municipality of Ilidža Sign Land Purchase Contract

The KS Fund for building apartments and the Municipality of Ilidža have taken a significant step towards addressing the pressing issue of housing in Sarajevo Canton. A contract for the purchase of land was signed by Nermin Muzur, the Mayor of Ilidža, and Elvedin Lagarija, the Director of the KS Fund. The Prime Minister of KS, Nihad UK, was also present at the signing ceremony.

Affordable Apartments for Citizens

The apartments to be built will be 30% cheaper than those currently available on the market. This initiative aims to provide a solution to the housing problems in Sarajevo Canton, making it more affordable for citizens to own or rent a home. The project is part of the construction plan from Ramvaj to Hrasnica railway, ensuring a fast and safe connection to the city centre.

Subsidized Housing for Young People

The apartments will be available for sale, as well as for rent at an affordable price. The KS Fund plans to subsidize the rent for certain categories of citizens, primarily young people. This initiative is expected to increase the number of affordable housing facilities in Sarajevo Canton, contributing to the expansion of the city and the Canton.

“I would like to thank the Mayor of Ilidža, Nermin Muzur, for quickly finding the location and the Municipal Council for their ingenuity in implementing our ideas. If this method of construction and co-financing is successful, we plan to build more buildings in this location and other locations in Sarajevo Canton,” said the Prime Minister of KS, Nihad UK.
