Hwang Dong-ha quickly adjusted to his starting position, recording 2 wins, 1 loss, and an average ERA of 3.81 in 5 games in May. Kim Do-hyun, on the other hand, played an active role in the bullpen before being chosen as a new starter in July. He showed gradual improvement and gradually moved into the starting rotation.

Coach Beom-ho Lee praised Hwang and Kim, saying, “By putting them in the starting lineup, the use of the pen was reduced. I think it’s time for both of them to grow up.” He also noted that the growth of both players allowed for the return of injured players Yoon Young-cheol and James Neil.
