Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration in Japan
On September 15, the Higashi Osaka City Cultural Center in Japan hosted the “Happy Mid-Autumn Festival” program, attended by over 200 children and Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Japanese families.
The event was organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, in collaboration with the Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School, Vietnam-Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association (VJECPA), Vietnamese Women’s Association in Kansai region, and Nam Dinh Association.
A Fun-Filled Celebration for Children
The Vietnamese Women’s Association of Kansai region and Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School prepared special performances and games, including country quizzes, folk games, and a star lantern procession. These activities helped children learn more about Vietnam’s customs and traditional cultural beauty.
Promoting Cultural Exchange and Community Solidarity
Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, praised the Organizing Committee for implementing a meaningful and humane program for the 2nd and 3rd generations of Vietnamese people in Japan. The event not only helped children understand national cultural traditions but also fostered community solidarity and cultural exchange between the people of Vietnam and Japan.
Supporting a Good Cause
During the event, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to children participating in the “I love Vietnam” photo contest organized by Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School. Additionally, a donation of 410,000 yen (~ 70 million VND) was collected to support the victims of Typhoon Yagi in northern Vietnam.

Ms. Le Thuong, Principal of Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School, expressed gratitude to individuals and organizations for their support towards Vietnam, emphasizing that this sharing has contributed to making the Mid-Autumn Festival program more meaningful and imbued with a deep national spirit.
