Prime Minister’s Visit to Chiang Rai Province: Aiding Flood Victims
Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, Advisor to the Prime Minister and spokesperson of the Operations Center for Assistance to Victims of Floods, Storms and Mudslides (CPCC), revealed the schedule of preparation for the Prime Minister’s visit to Chiang Rai Province. This afternoon, at 3:00 pm, the Prime Minister will chair a meeting to integrate the recovery and compensation plans for people affected by the flood in Chiang Rai province and other flood-affected areas in the northern provinces at the conference hall of Mae Fah Luang Airport.
Prime Minister’s Schedule
At 4:40 pm, the Prime Minister will visit the area to speed up the repair of flood damage and encourage victims of Pa. Daeng Community, Chiang Rai Municipality, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. Additionally, the Prime Minister will chair the distribution of relief funds to disaster-affected people at Thesaban 6 Nakhon Chiang Rai School auditorium at 5:00 pm and will visit the area to speed up recovery of flood damage to Thanarak project House, Royal Thai Army, Mueang Chiang Rai District.
Compensation Registration
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has set up channels to file complaints in person: 1. With local administrative organizations in flood-affected areas. The public can contact to take action, available from today onwards. 2. File a complaint online through the website. The system opened for filing claims on September 26, 2024, for disaster victims whose documents are damaged or lost. You can contact your district or local office to issue a certified document.
Call for Volunteers
As part of the major cleanup program for Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, on Sunday, September 29, citizen volunteers from various areas are invited to unite to restore Mae Sai District and quickly return to normalcy.
