Saudi Arabia Offers Malaysia Help with Riyadh Expo 2030

Malaysia has received an offer from Saudi Arabia to assist in organizing the Riyadh Expo 2030, according to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah yusof. The offer was conveyed by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Japan, dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr,during a visit to the Saudi Arabia pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
Fadillah characterized this as a critically important opportunity for Malaysia to strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia and elevate its global presence. he said he intends to discuss potential areas of collaboration with the Cabinet.
The announcement followed a dinner with the Malaysian diaspora and students in Osaka. Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong, and Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan also attended, along with Malaysian Ambassador to Japan Datuk Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany.
Malaysia has been invited to participate in preparatory work, including technical and infrastructure aspects.
