Robert Pltek Takes Over Club – New History Chapter
The agreement between Comarch and the entity controlled by Robert Platka was signed on Thursday, August 14. Platk, which previously contributed to the return of the Portuguese club Casa Pia to the highest class after 83 years, now intends to get involved in the development of Cracovia. The new owner emphasizes that the club has a rich history and great potential, and cooperation with the Filipiak family and further support of Comarch are to help achieve ambitious sports goals.
The sale of shares by Comarch is part of the company’s strategy that intends to focus on the development of key areas in the IT services sector. However, the company does not give up activities in sport and social projects, remaining a partner and sponsor of Cracovia.

A new chapter in the club’s history
Comarch financed Cracovia for over two decades, which was an important element of the company’s history. Krzysztof Krawczyk, head of the Polish CVC branch, the current owner of Comarch, cited in a press release, explained that nowadays the best solution for both sides is to change the nature of the ownership to partner relationship. He also emphasized that Comarch would continue the club’s sponsorship, and the company’s brand will remain on footballers.
One of the key areas of further cooperation will be the support of Cracovia junior teams. The company intends to continue the tradition of promoting sport and physical activity among young people. Krawczyk noted that Comarch is currently developing its global potential, focusing on the most important segments of the software industry, and in sport wants to act as a partner and sponsor. He added that the transfer of club management to people with appropriate experience and resources, such as Robert Plat, would allow Cracovia to strengthen the position in both the Premier League and international arena.
