Robin Wright, the acclaimed actress, is opening up about her experiences as a mother and her co-parenting relationship with ex-husband Sean Penn. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Wright shared candid insights into raising their two children, Dylan, 34, and Hopper, 32, during their 14-year marriage, which lasted from 1996 to 2010.
Wright revealed the challenges they faced as parents, especially during their children’s rebellious years. Hopper’s struggle with crystal meth addiction was a significant source of worry. “Every day if the phone rings you’re, like, ‘Is he alive? Is she alive?'” Wright confessed, reflecting on the constant anxiety she endured.
While both Dylan and hopper are now doing well, Wright admitted to a significant regret regarding her parenting style. “I have a huge regret as a mother and have experienced the fallout of this regret for many years with my kids – I wasn’t hard enough on them,” she stated. she explained that while Penn was stricter, his frequent absences due to work left her to manage the children on her own.
