Robinhood Chain processed a record 5.52 million transactions on Aug. 30, 2026, driven by a surge in memecoin trading tools and token creations, according to onchain data cited by CoinDesk.

The two-month-old blockchain network reached its busiest day yet as users launched 22,600 tokens through a single app, outperforming several established networks in daily application revenue. DefiLlama data reported by CoinDesk shows that applications on Robinhood Chain brought in approximately $2.66 million over a 24-hour period. That figure places the upstart network second only to Solana, which generated $5.07 million in app revenue during the same timeframe.

Robinhood Chain’s daily application revenue outpaced Ethereum and Base. According to DefiLlama figures reported by CoinDesk, Robinhood Chain brought in twice the revenue of Ethereum apps and six times that of Base apps. App revenue measures the money applications earn directly from users rather than fees collected by Robinhood itself. Decentralized exchange trading volume on the network hit roughly $875 million on Aug. 30, 2026. Uniswap handled the majority of that volume, accounting for about $432 million through its newest version and an additional $357 million through its previous version.

Memecoin Trading Drives Pons Token Creations

The surge in network activity stems largely from speculative token launches rather than traditional asset tokenization. Data from Dune Analytics highlighted by CoinDesk indicates that users created 22,600 tokens in a single day through Pons, an application on Robinhood Chain that allows users to create and trade new tokens directly from their crypto wallets. That total marked an increase of more than 40% compared to the previous day. Most of these newly minted assets consist of animal-themed memecoins and tokens tied to internet jokes and daily trading narratives.

The upstart Robinhood Chain just had its busiest day yet, and the rush is looking a lot more like a memecoin casino than the market for tokenized stocks it was built to host.

The rapid adoption of Pons highlights how user activity on the newly launched network has gravitated toward fast-paced speculative trading. While Robinhood originally designed its infrastructure to host tokenized equities and traditional financial assets, the immediate traction has concentrated heavily on permissionless token generation and decentralized exchange swaps.
