Yuta Watanabe and Yuki Togashi Share Laughter and Memories at Chiba Jets Event
On September 14th, the Chiba Jets of the B1 East Division held an event titled “Chiba Jets New Season Rally Powered by LADEPO Chiba” at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY to unveil their new structure for the 2024-25 season.
During the talk corner of the event, Yuta Watanabe was asked about his memories of the Paris 2024 Olympics. He turned to Yuki Togashi, who was sitting next to him, and shared a story about their outing to the streets of Paris with their long-time teammate, Hiejima Makoto (Utsunomiya Brex).
Watanabe revealed that they visited Louis Vuitton and each brought one item they wanted, and whoever won rock-paper-scissors bought it. He said it was the most nerve-wracking game of rock-paper-scissors he’s ever been in. Watanabe won the first time, but Hiejima Makoto won the second time, and Togashi got what he wanted for free.
Togashi couldn’t contain his laughter and put his hands together in prayer with a smile as Watanabe shared the story. The fans who had packed the venue also laughed at the story of the friendly duo.
The three are scheduled to meet again at the opening round of the B.League, which will be held at Lala Arena Tokyo Bay on October 5th and 6th. Watanabe, who will be making his B.League debut this season, named Hiejima as an opponent he is looking forward to playing against and commented that he would like to match up with him.
