Club América winger Brian Rodríguez has confirmed Inter Miami’s interest in signing him, revealing that the chance to play alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez is a significant draw. The potential transfer for the Uruguay international comes as Inter Miami seeks to bolster its squad.
Rodríguez also noted that opportunities in Spain are under consideration. He previously played in MLS for LAFC from 2019 to 2021.

“Inter miami’s interest is real,” Rodríguez said. “We’ve been talking about it for a couple of weeks. I spoke with Luis Suárez about the club and it was an honour to talk to him.”
he added, “There is a possibility of going to Spain…but on the other side is going to play with Suárez and Messi, that weighs on me.” Rodríguez also mentioned consulting with Uruguay’s manager, Marcelo Bielsa.
Inter miami coach Javier Mascherano acknowledged the need for reinforcements, particularly after recent player departures. He emphasized the importance of adding depth to the roster, especially with the upcoming Club World Cup.
“I told the club what positions needed reinforcement,” Mascherano said. “I told them where the team needs to add depth… we have a relatively short roster, that’s the reality.”
