Free Transit for Concertgoers at New Toronto Music Venue

Toronto’s newest music venue, Rogers Stadium, is set to open this month, and Live Nation is offering free transit rides home after all 14 summer shows. This initiative aims to improve the concert experience and reduce congestion.
The promoter will cover the cost of free rides on the TTC and GO Transit after each event. Concertgoers can access subway service from Sheppard West, Downsview park, and Wilson stations, and also GO train service from Downsview Park Station. Both the TTC and Metrolinx will provide extra service on concert nights to manage the crowds.
Mayor Olivia Chow said Rogers stadium will enhance Toronto’s music scene. She added that the partnership with Live Nation will ensure safe transportation and reduce traffic after concerts.
Greg Percy, CEO of the TTC, stated that the agency is committed to providing a seamless experience for concert attendees. He said extra subway service and staff will be available.
