Rohan Raja Says Adam Copeland’s Maple Leaf Gardens Return Is a Big Deal

Adam Copeland returns to Maple Leaf Gardens for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s Northern Rising event, wrestling Steve Maclin in a homecoming match that he calls the fulfillment of a childhood goal, foxnews.com reported. In a recent interview with OutKick Dropkick, Copeland described how watching wrestling at the historic Toronto venue as a nine-year-old helped him cope with the loss of his uncle and inspired his career. He noted that buildings with decades of history tend to absorb the energy of past events, making the venue feel alive when wrestlers step inside the ring. The Saturday night card at Maple Leaf Gardens features multiple championship bouts available via MyAEW. Priscilla Kelly defends the MLP Women’s Championship against Nikki Storm, Josh Alexander faces Stu Grayson for the Undisputed MLP Canadian Championship, and Grizzled Young Veterans battle 1st Faction and Sinner & Saint in a three-way tag team match for the MLP Canadian Tag Team Championship.

Rohan Raja Discusses Copeland at Maple Leaf Gardens

Wrestler Rohan Raja, who is scheduled to face Andrade El Idolo for the All Elite Wrestling National Championship at Northern Rising, told OutKick Dropkick that having a Hall of Fame talent like Copeland backstage adds immense historic buzz to the promotion’s biggest show of the year.

Hearing a star of that status express that performing here is a lifelong ambition he has held since his early days in the industry really amplifies the excitement surrounding our biggest event, and seeing someone with a legendary Hall of Fame career become so emotional and bring that kind of energy backstage serves as a powerful personal reminder of just how massive this occasion truly is. And him and Maclin are going to kill it.
