Gabriele Piazzoni, secretary general of Arcigay, emphasized the connection between LGBTQIA+ rights and global peace. “While in the Middle East the escalation of violence continues, our pride become marches for rights and peace, disarmament and non-violence,” Piazzoni said. ”Each rainbow flag waved in these days is a no to war, a yes to the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Our community, who knows on his own skin the violence of hatred, can only be able to take the part of the victims of each Oppression today. Our pride Marciano for the Palestinians who resist Gaza and for all the peoples forced to escape from the bombs of this absurd time, which is indelible our history.”
