Darby, 31, signed a one-year contract with Houston in March but has decided too end his NFL career after 10 seasons. This announcement follows Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow’s retirement earlier in the week.
Darby played for six teams, including the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He was a key part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots, where he recorded four tackles and two passes defended.

Drafted by Buffalo in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft after playing college football at Florida State, Darby made an immediate impact, earning Defensive Rookie of the Year consideration with 68 tackles, 21 passes defended, and two interceptions.
