Ronaldo Row: Piers Morgan Unleashes Scathing Attack on ‘Clueless’ Erik ten Hag
Cristiano Ronaldo’s 901st Career Goal Sparks Piers Morgan’s Scathing Attack on Erik ten Haag
British journalist Piers Morgan, a close friend of Cristiano Ronaldo, launched a scathing attack on Manchester United coach Erik ten Haag after the Portuguese star surpassed 900 goals in his football career.
Ronaldo’s last-minute goal earned Portugal a 2-1 win, continuing their strong performance in the Europa League on Sunday after falling a goal behind against hosts Scotland.
A second-half substitute, Ronaldo scored his 901st career goal in the 88th minute to give Portugal victory.
Piers Morgan Slams Erik ten Haag for Forcing Cristiano Ronaldo Out of Manchester United
Piers Morgan, in his interview with TalkSPORT, described Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag as a “complete idiot” for forcing Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Old Trafford.
Morgan praised Ronaldo’s performance during the international break and criticized Ten Haag for his handling of the player. When asked why Ten Hag allowed Ronaldo to leave United for Saudi Arabia, he exclaimed: “Ten Hag is a complete idiot, I’m sorry, he’s been like that ever since he left.”
Morgan angrily attacked Ten Haag, comparing him to a teacher who doesn’t know how to deal with talented students. “You know what the problem with the Dutch coach is, he’s like that Bossu teacher who doesn’t know how to deal with talent in the academy,” he said.
He added: “Look at the players he hasn’t faced at United. Cristiano Ronaldo, Sancho, Marcus Rashford, they’re all great players. He is able to deal with the lesser players, and he is also able to deal with the players he brought in from Ajax, who have never appeared on the big world stage, but he cannot deal with the big players.”
