Cristiano Ronaldo on Manchester United’s Future

Manchester United’s former star striker Cristiano Ronaldo shares his thoughts on the club’s current state and future prospects.

Despite their recent struggles, Manchester United have shown glimpses of their former glory, winning the Carabao Cup and the English FA Cup in the last two seasons.

This season, however, has gotten off to a rocky start for the “Red Devils,” with only 3 points collected from their first 3 Premier League games, leaving them in 14th place in the table.

In a recent interview, Ronaldo, who left Manchester United for the second time in 2022, expressed his thoughts on the club’s disappointing performance, emphasizing the need for significant changes to return to greatness.

“They had to rebuild everything,” Ronaldo stated. “In my opinion, the club needs time to rebuild. Because the club is still one of the best in the world. But they need to change. They understand that this is the only way.”

Ronaldo remains optimistic about Manchester United’s future, but stresses that relying solely on talent is not enough. “I believe the future is bright, I do, but they don’t rely on talent alone. They had to rebuild from the ground up. If not, they cannot succeed. It’s impossible.”
