Manchester United Appoints Huben Amorim as New Manager

Manchester United has officially appointed Huben Amorim as the new manager of the men’s first team. ‌The announcement was made on the club’s official website, stating that Amorim will join the team on‍ the 11th and ⁤will lead the team until ​June 2027, with ⁢an option to extend the contract by one year.

Manchester United expressed​ their excitement about⁣ Amorim’s appointment, describing him as “the most exciting⁢ and highly regarded​ young coach in European football.” Amorim has achieved⁢ great success⁣ both⁣ as a player⁢ and⁢ as a coach, including winning the Primera Liga ⁤twice with Sporting CP in Portugal.

Manchester United⁢ has⁣ been without a leader since the ‍end of the‌ Alex Ferguson era. Former coach Eric ten Haag took⁣ charge of the ‍team in 2022 but ‍did not ⁣achieve significant success, causing​ friction ⁣among⁢ players. Manchester United will pay 10 million euros (approximately 15 billion won) as ‍a contract termination ⁢payment to Ten Haag after dismissing him.
