Spanish singer Rosalía will be honored with the International Songwriter of the Year award at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards, The Standard reports. The recognition celebrates the success of her fourth studio album, Lux, released in November 2025.

Lux, meaning “light” in Latin, was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Daníel Bjarnason, with Rosalía serving as the album’s executive producer. The album showcases Rosalía’s versatility, blending orchestral pop, art pop, classical, and avant-pop elements, and features lyrics in Spanish, English, Arabic, Catalan, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Mandarin, Portuguese, Sicilian, and Ukrainian.

The album boasts a diverse range of guest appearances, including Björk, Carminho, Dougie F, Estrella Morente, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Yahritza y su Esencia, and Yves Tumor. Contributing to the album’s rich soundscape were arrangers Angélica Negrón and Caroline Shaw, composers Charlotte Gainsbourg and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, producers Noah Goldstein and Pharrell Williams, and drum programmer Venetian Snares.

Initially, physical editions of Lux contained 18 tracks, while digital releases featured a slightly shorter tracklist, omitting three songs. However, a digital reissue, titled Lux (Complete Works), was released on April 17, 2026, making all 18 tracks available across all platforms.

Several singles preceded the release of Lux and have continued to gain traction since its launch. “Berghain” was released on October 27, 2025, followed by “La Perla” on December 5, 2025. “Sauvignon Blanc” arrived on February 11, 2026, and most recently, “Focu ‘Ranni” was released on April 17, 2026, coinciding with the release of Lux (Complete Works).
