It is indeed with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Mannion (née Currid), a beloved resident of Sligo, who passed away peacefully on July 18th, 2025. Rose, who resided at 4 Garavogue Villas and was formerly of 108 Garavogue Villas, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her extensive family and friends.
A Life of Love and Family
Rose’s life was a testament to the enduring power of family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Denis, and her dear brothers, Tommy, Mickey, and Bazie. Her memory will be forever held in the hearts of her loving children: Benny (and phil), Tina (and Sean), Paula, Marie Finnegan (and paul), and Peter (and Aisling).
The joy Rose brought into the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren is immeasurable. She will be dearly missed by her adored grandchildren: Laura, Sarah, Elaine, Shannon, Stephanie, Patricia, Josephine, Tadhg, Ryan, Vanessa, Aaron, Calon, and Rowan. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Fionn, Carter, Keagan, Evie, April, Jesse, Aidan, Caragh, Harley, and calvin.Rose is also survived by her brothers, Christy (Dixie) and Martin (Aquinas) Currid, along with a wide circle of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
Honoring Rose’s Life: Funeral Arrangements
The community will have the chance to pay their respects and celebrate Rose’s life.Reposing:
Rose will be reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo, on Sunday, July 20th, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
funeral Mass:
the Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anne’s Church, Sligo, on Monday, July 21st, at 1:30 pm. Following the service, Rose will be laid to rest in Sligo Cemetery.

A Heartfelt Tribute and Donations
