Laois’s Emily Cummins Crowned Rose of Tralee 2024

Emily Cummins, a 24-year-old electrical apprentice from ballyouskill, Laois, has been crowned the Rose of Tralee 2024. Cummins, who wears a hearing aid, is the first Laois woman to ever win the title.

Speaking after her win,Cummins emphasized her desire to be recognized for herself,stating,”I suppose having a hearing disability has its challenges but I wanted to make this experience about me,not my disability.”
