On March 21, 2026, the Palatul Braunstein in Iași hosted the “Educație pentru sănătate și echilibru – dialog între specialiști, părinți și elevi” conference, bringing together medical professionals, educators, parents, and teenagers to address adolescent health and wellness. The conference featured presentations from academic figures who delivered scientifically grounded perspectives on youth development. According to Rotary Iași, the invited speakers included Prof. Univ. Dr. Mircea Onofriescu, Prof. Univ. Dr. Florin Mitu, Prof. Univ. Dr. Laura Trandafir, and Lect. Univ. Dr. Ana-Maria Ambrosă.
Ahead of the event, Prof. Dr. Mircea Onofriescu, honorary president of the Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, explained the initiative’s scope to Radio Iași. Onofriescu stated, according to Radio Iași. Pentru că vreau să realizăm aceste întâlniri lunare cu tineri din diferite școli și încercăm să discutăm de la probleme de nutriție până la probleme de nocivitatea alcoolului, fumatului, importanța vaccinării anti-HPV și multe, multe alte aspecte medicale care sunt de luat în considerare.

Community Collaboration and Institutional Partners
Organized by the Rotary Clubs of Iași in partnership with the County School Inspectorate, the conference was designed to foster a culture of health responsibility across generations. According to Rotary Iași, institutional partners included the County School Inspectorate of Iași, the “Regina Maria” Municipal Museum of Iași, and the Romanian National Opera of Iași. Sponsors supporting the initiative included Estet Doors SRL, Orange România SA, Stefan Security SRL, and Florissimo. Media partners covering the event included MplusTV International, Iași TV Life, TVR Iași, Ziarul De Iași, Radio România Iași, and Viva FM. Beyond the scientific panels, the event incorporated artistic performances to add an emotional dimension to the educational gathering. Participants also took part in a transparently conducted prize draw at the conclusion of the conference, supported by Orange as a corporate partner, according to Rotary Iași.
