The Southern York County Rotary Club is organizing its annual community fundraiser, with organizers accepting individual flag sponsorships through May 20, 2025, according to the group’s published campaign details.
The Flags For Heroes campaign supports veterans and first responders, channeling proceeds directly to designated veterans organizations, according to Southern York County Rotary materials. The 2025 initiative features a special dedication honoring fallen West York Borough Police Officer Andrew Duarte.
Community members can sponsor an American-made flag with a $50 donation to honor a personal hero. Corporate sponsorships are also available at $300, which includes a business or personal name displayed on an 18-by-24-inch yard sign alongside five flags at the event site, according to organizer guidelines.
Schedule And Display Location
The sponsored flags will remain on public display from May 21 through June 4, 2025, at the New Freedom Heritage Green, located next to Marlin’s Auto Repair, according to Southern York County Rotary schedules.
Organizers will host the 8th Annual Flags For Heroes Dedication Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on May 31, 2025, at the New Freedom Heritage Green. Following the conclusion of the event, all sponsors receive a personalized medallion affixed to their designated flag, while the flags remain the property of the Southern York County Rotary Club.
