The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a warning regarding the current weather conditions affecting Lebanon’s beaches. High waves, strong winds, and accelerated ocean currents due to increased tide speed are creating hazardous conditions for beachgoers.
To ensure public safety, the Civil Defense is urging individuals to exercise caution when engaging in swimming activities. It is essential to follow safety guidelines to minimize the risk of drowning.
Additionally, the Civil Defense has advised water sports and paragliding enthusiasts to refrain from participating in any activities during this unstable weather period.
Fishermen and owners of tourist boats docked in ports are also cautioned to inspect the stability of the ropes securing their vessels. In case of an emergency, citizens, residents, and tourists are encouraged to call 125 for assistance.
