Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. is the latest big name to⁤ express interest in ⁢a bout with controversial YouTube star turned boxer ⁣Jake Paul.

Jones, a former four-division world champion and Olympic silver medalist, told reporters⁢ this week that he’s eager to step back into ⁤the ring and⁣ believes a fight with Paul would be a‍ thrilling spectacle.

“Jake Paul’s got a lot ⁣of hype around him, and I respect that,” Jones said. ‌”He’s brought a lot of attention to boxing, and that’s good for⁣ the sport. But I’m a different animal. I’ve been in there ⁤with the best, and‌ I know what it takes to win.”

Jones, 54, last fought in 2021, a controversial exhibition match against former UFC champion anderson Silva. While he’s⁢ acknowledged‍ his age, Jones insists he still has the‍ skills and the fire to compete at a high level.

“I’m not saying it’ll be easy,” Jones admitted. “Jake’s young, he’s hungry, and he’s got power. But⁢ I’ve faced bigger challenges than him in my career. I’m confident I can outbox him, outsmart ​him, and put on a show ​for the ⁣fans.”

Paul, known for ‌his ‍brash personality and knockout power, has yet to respond ⁤to Jones’ challenge. However, he has a history of accepting fights against older, more experienced opponents, most notably his victory over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
