Ryan Moore’s outstanding performance at Royal ascot has propelled him into the top echelon of british Flat jockeys. His treble on thursday brought his total to 2,595 British winners, surpassing Edward Hide and securing him 10th place on the all-time list.
Moore’s first victory came aboard Charles Darwin in the Norfolk Stakes. The 8-13 favorite, trained by A.P.O’Brien, broke quickly and maintained control throughout the race, winning by two and a quarter lengths over Wise Approach. O’Brien praised Charles Darwin as a “big,powerful,strong horse,” noting his maturity.
Moore and O’Brien teamed up again for another win in the Ribblesdale Stakes with Garden Of Eden, a 7-1 shot. After stablemate Island Hopping faded,Moore seized the prospect and guided Garden Of Eden to victory. He then completed his treble aboard trinity College in the Hampton Court Stakes.
While Moore experienced importent success, he narrowly missed another victory in the King George V Stakes.
