Rubio Assumes New Role

⁢ (Keystone-SDA) President Trump recently appointed Rubio as ⁤his successor to former national security consultant Mike Waltz. Rubio is expected to take on this role in addition to his existing ministerial duties.

No Military Solution Envisioned

‍ ⁢ Rubio clarified that he⁢ does not foresee ⁣a military resolution to the ⁤ongoing ⁣war in Ukraine.⁣ He stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot seize the entirety of Ukraine, and conversely, “Ukraine cannot completely push the⁤ Russians back where they were in⁣ 2014.”

U.S. Commitment in Question

‍ ⁣ ⁢ Rubio has recently alluded to the possibility of the United states withdrawing from its efforts to mediate an end to the Russian war of aggression. He argued that other global⁤ issues⁤ demand attention. “Not that a war in Ukraine would not be vital, but I would say that what happens to China is more important for ⁣the future of the world, and of course, the nuclear ambitions of Iran,” Rubio said.
