Rushdie’s Lawyer Sets the Record Straight: Death Rumors Debunked in Dramatic Court Revelation
Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie’s Wife’s Death: Court Hears Defense Case
The New Cairo Misdemeanor Court has heard the defense case of an obstetrician and gynecologist accused of causing the death of Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie’s wife.
Lawyer Ahmed Mahran, representing Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie’s wife, argued that hospital reports on the death were contradictory and inconsistent with reality.
He emphasized that videos of the incident at the hospital confirmed that negligence on the part of the anesthesiologist and intensive care doctors, not the gynecologist, led to the wife’s death.
Mahran pointed out that the forensic report overlooked some of the injuries sustained by Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie’s wife, which contradicted the facts.
When the court summoned the head of the forensic medicine committee to address these discrepancies, the doctor stated that he had not been presented with the relevant documents and was unaware of them.
The forensic doctor confirmed that the court possessed the necessary papers, documents, and videos related to the case but had not provided them to him.
The court ultimately decided to send a copy of the evidence to the forensic doctor to uncover the truth behind Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie’s wife’s death.
Adjournment and Investigation
The New Cairo Misdemeanor Court has adjourned the trial to the first term of October due to a lack of medical reports.
Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie was absent from the session, with only his lawyer present, while the accused was also absent.
The court is scheduled to discuss the forensic report on the victim’s death.
Investigating authorities have referred the renowned obstetrician and gynecologist to a criminal trial in connection with the death of Sheikh Abdullah Rushdie’s wife.
The Public Prosecution made this decision after receiving the forensic report, which stated that the gynecologist bore criminal liability for serious medical errors leading to death.
