A train ‍derailment in Russia’s Bryansk region has ‍left at least⁤ seven dead and dozens injured after a bridge collapsed onto railway tracks. The incident occurred as a passenger train traveling from Moscow was struck by several ⁣heavy trucks falling ‍from the‍ overpass.

Emergency crews are on scene, working to extract survivors from the wreckage. At least 69 people have been reported injured. Moscow’s interregional transport⁣ prosecutor’s office has launched an inquiry into the bridge collapse.

Adding to the chaos, a second bridge collapsed in Russia’s Kursk region just hours later as a freight train crossed ‍it, according to Alexander Khinshtein,⁢ acting governor of Kursk Oblast. The train’s driver was reportedly injured.

Russian authorities⁤ are calling the Bryansk incident an act of “illegal interference.” Some Russian Telegram channels have ⁢speculated, without providing evidence, that the bridge was “blown up.”

Separately,Ukraine has claimed responsibility ⁢for an explosion that targeted a military logistics ⁢train in the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region. According to a⁤ statement,the attack,which targeted fuel tankers,caused the train to derail,disrupting ⁤a key supply route to‍ Crimea.
