Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibyha condemned the actions, calling them a true reflection of Vladimir Putin’s approach to those who engage with him. On social media, Sibyha stated, “We need peace through strength, not appeasement.”
The assaults involved approximately 120 missiles and 90 drones, as reported by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky. Ukrainian defense forces successfully intercepted over 140 aerial targets during the attack.
Zelensky noted that all regions of Ukraine were affected, with at least two deaths and eight injuries confirmed. He stated that the primary aim of the enemy was the energy infrastructure, leading to damage from both direct strikes and debris. Some areas remain without power as authorities work on restoration efforts.
