Russia on Brink of Catastrophic War: Dugin Urges Shock and Awe Strategy Against the West
Russia’s Conflict with the West: A Historic and Inevitable Clash
Russian philosopher and political scientist Alexander Dugin emphasizes the need to intensify the conflict between Russia and Western countries, citing the historic and inevitable nature of the clash.
According to Dugin, the special military campaign in Ukraine is merely a small episode in the age-old conflict between the “civilization of the Land” (Russia) and the “civilization of the sea” (the West). This geopolitical conflict has never truly ended, but has evolved from the Great Game of the 19th century to the Cold War of the last century.
Dugin asserts that Russia is destined for a “deadly and total conflict” with the West due to its geopolitical position, history, and values. He accuses Western countries of attempting to destroy Russia, highlighting that all attempts at negotiations and dealings with foreign leaders inevitably end in deceit.
Dugin stresses that Russia’s success lies in acting quickly, boldly, and decisively, without consulting others. He notes that when Russia draws “red lines,” engages in negotiations, or concludes deals, it often loses ground.

Dugin urges Russia’s leadership to take a more active stance in the conflict with the Anglo-Saxon world. He advocates for severing all ties with Western countries and utilizing ”the entire arsenal of methods available” – excluding nuclear weapons. Dugin also supports conducting subversive operations on NATO territory, including in Great Britain, the United States, France, Poland, and Germany.
“Everything should roar and burn on the territory of England, USA, France, Poland, Germany, Italy, Finland, and other NATO territories,” Dugin emphasizes.
