Moscow, Russia – Mikhail Shatsky, a leading Russian missile scientist, was found shot dead in a suburb southeast of Moscow this week, according to multiple Ukrainian media outlets.

The Kyiv Independent reports that Shatsky was considered a key figure in the progress of Russian AI technology for drones,aircraft,and spacecraft.
According to Nevzorov, Shatsky was also responsible for upgrading Russia’s Kh-59 missiles, which are being used in the ongoing war against Ukraine.
“Anyone involved in developing Russia’s military industry, and therefore supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine, is a legitimate target for the Ukrainian defense forces,” an anonymous security source told the Ukrainian news outlet Hromadske.
The independent Russian media outlet Critically important stories has geolocated the site where Shatsky’s body was found to be a ten-minute walk from his residence.
