Russian Navy Commander Gudkov Killed in Kursk Region

Mikhail Gudkov, the deputy head of the Russian navy, died in the Kursk region, the Ministry of Defence confirmed Thursday. Gudkov, 42, is among the highest-ranking russian officers killed since the invasion of Ukraine began more than three years ago. The ministry, quoted by RIA news agency, stated Gudkov died Wednesday “during combat operations” in the border region.
