Russian Forces Launch Long-Range Attacks Across Ukraine
Kyiv, Ukraine (AP) – Ukraine faced a barrage of 67 Russian drones on Saturday, as the country continues to grapple with rising attacks from Russian invading forces.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that 58 of the drones were shot down, while another three were destroyed by electronic weapons systems. The attacks targeted 11 regions, including the capital, Kyiv.

The attacks follow a week of long-range Russian attacks across Ukraine, including a missile attack on a military academy and hospital in the city of Poltava on Tuesday that left 55 dead and 328 injured.
Another incident on Wednesday in Lviv, a city close to the border with Poland, caused seven deaths, including a mother and her three daughters.

The attacks have also drawn attention to Moscow’s long-term capabilities, as Ukraine braces for another tough winter as Russia continues to hit Ukraine’s power grid, knocking out around 70 percent of its generating capacity and cutting heating and water supply.
Ukraine has continued to launch its own attacks against Russia. In the Russian border region of Voronezh, a drone attack caused a fire and detonated “explosive objects,” its Governor, Aleksandr Gusev, said on Saturday.
