Pichushkin is already serving a life sentence for the murder of 48 people.
The FSIN,as quoted by the Russian news agency Tass,reported that “Pichushkin expressed his willingness to confess the commission of other eleven murders of men and women in the Northern Betovo district of Moscow.”
Authorities obtained the details regarding Pichushkin’s potential involvement in these additional crimes through collaborative efforts between the FSIN Operations Department and the Main Criminal Investigations Department of the Ministry of Interior of russia. Pichushkin, known for attacking his victims with a hammer, was apprehended in 2006 and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007 after being convicted of 48 murders and three attempted murders.
His killing spree began in 1992 and continued until his arrest. investigators believe Pichushkin intended to commit 64 murders, mirroring the number of squares on a chessboard.
