Hospital Throws a Discharge Party
Ruta Freliha ended up in the hospital last November due to health issues, which she jokingly attributed to heartbreak – being rejected by Frīdis on the show Farmer Wants a Wife. “I met Zigurds by chance.As my phone didn’t have signal in the ward, I went to the lobby where Zigurds was walking around at that time. and then suddenly he approached me and said, ‘Could I take a picture with the star?’,” Ruta tells Privātā dzīve magazine about their meeting.
Zigurds watched the show with great interest and was delighted to have randomly met the lively redhead from Vabole in person.
The two quickly found common ground and decided to throw a farewell party in Ruta’s hospital room before her discharge. “I was discharged on November 18th. Zigurds brought chocolates and gingerbread. When we started the farewell party, we were alone for an hour because my roommate had already gone home, and the next patient hadn’t arrived yet.when she did arrive,seeing our party,she went for a walk so as not to disturb us,” ruta says.
After the party, they communicated only by phone, but in early December, the Latgale resident needed to go to an interview in the capital city. “Zigurds was very happy to hear that I was going to riga. We arranged to meet in Old Riga and see the Christmas market,” Freliha says about their first meeting outside the hospital walls. It was then that Zigurds suggested they celebrate Christmas together at Ruta’s place in Vabole.The Farmer Wants a Wife bride didn’t agree right away. “I let new people into my life cautiously. Ruta, the bride from “The Farmer wants a Wife,” met her new friend in the hospital hallway. The young woman shared this story on social media, revealing that her mother had been hospitalized and she had spent several days at the hospital.
“I haven’t been at home for several days,because my mother is in the hospital. It’s a challenging time for our family, but we are holding on. I’m grateful for every moment spent with my mother,” ruta wrote.
She also shared that she had met a new friend at the hospital. “It’s amazing how life can bring people together in unexpected places. I met a wonderful person at the hospital who is going through a similar situation. We support each other and share our experiences. It’s comforting to know that you are not alone,” Ruta said.
Ruta did not reveal the identity of her new friend, but she expressed her gratitude for his support. She also encouraged her followers to cherish their loved ones and to be kind to each other.
“Life is precious and unpredictable. Let’s appreciate every moment and be there for each other. Sending love and strength to everyone who is going through a difficult time,” Ruta concluded.
