After two decades, Rye coalition is back with new music. Teh band has reunited to record covers of Shellac and Drive Like Jehu for a charity 7″ vinyl single titled Paid in Full. The single pays tribute to the late Steve Albini and Rick Froberg.
The single features covers of Shellac’s “Wingwalker” and Drive Like Jehu’s “Bullet Train to Vegas.” Tom Beaujour recorded the music with the band. The single is available for order on Bandcamp.
All proceeds from paid in Full, which will be released July 18 via Ernest Jenning Record Co.,will go to Letters Charity. Albini and his wife, Heather Whinna, founded the Chicago-based nonprofit to aid families living in poverty.According to a press release, each copy of the single features unique, handmade, stamped, numbered, painted letter pressed covers.
