Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Samsung adjusted the prices of its smartphones in Indonesia in early 2026. Price increases were observed in almost all product lines, starting from the mid-range Galaxy A series to the flagship Galaxy S.
A price comparison between the Samsung Official Store on Tokopedia as of October 2025 and the official Samsung website as of January 1, 2026, shows an increase of around IDR 100,000 to IDR 500,000 per unit. This price adjustment is in line with rapidly increasing pressure on global component costs.
Previously, according to a Counterpoint Research report entitled ‘Memory Solutions for GenAI’, RAM prices are predicted to continue to rise by 40% until the second quarter of 2026. The increase in component costs in the middle and upper segments has reached 10% to 15%, while the total cost of the Bill of Materials (BoM) is estimated to increase between 8% and more than 15%.
The global memory supply shortage is one of the main triggers for this price increase. In the middle segment, the Galaxy A26 5G (8/256GB) increased significantly by IDR 430,000 to IDR 4,399,000. The Galaxy A56 5G experienced slighter adjustments, increasing by IDR 100,000 for both memory variants.
