Saad Hariri, the former Lebanese prime minister, is venturing into the investment world with a new firm based in abu Dhabi. The company, Genesis SPV Ltd.,was registered on May 23 in Abu Dhabi global Market (ADGM),a financial free zone.
Hariri, 55, who served two terms as Lebanon’s prime minister, is listed as the sole shareholder, according to ADGM filings. The new venture plans to invest in the global technology sector, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI).
According to its ADGM filing, Genesis SPV Ltd. will function as a special purpose vehicle, holding ownership of equity and non-equity assets. The company is permitted to incorporate subsidiaries outside of ADGM but cannot register branches.
Hariri and his representatives declined to comment on the new venture.
The former prime minister has made Abu Dhabi his primary residence since early 2022.
