Alyssa Thomas contributed 14 points and a game-high 13 assists in the Commissioner’s Cup matchup. The Aces were playing without their MVP, A’ja wilson, who is sidelined with a concussion.
Sami Whitcomb provided a spark off the bench for Phoenix, scoring 18 points. Her fourth 3-pointer proved crucial,answering a basket from Las Vegas’ Jewell Loyd late in the fourth quarter. Kahleah Copper made her season debut for the Mercury,adding 11 points after recovering from a preseason knee injury.This strong team performance and WNBA analysis helped Phoenix secure the win.
