Food Security Commission Allocates 500 Million Ouguiya to Kankusa County Families
The Food Security Commission has allocated approximately 500 million old ouguiya to support thousands of families in Kankusa County, as part of the third phase of cash distributions in the area.
This initiative is a collaborative effort with the World Food Programme, providing regular monthly transfers over a period of four months. The program aims to benefit over 27,000 citizens, primarily focusing on the most vulnerable families in Kankusa District.
The regional representative of the Commission emphasized that these cash distributions are part of the social programs implemented to support vulnerable classes. The Commission’s efforts aim to promote food security and alleviate poverty in the region.
According to local authorities, including the Assistant Mayor of Kankoussa Municipality, Mustafa Ould Sheikh, these cash transfers have been taking place over the past few months, bringing much-needed relief to families in need.
