The spirit of Thanksgiving was alive and well at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center as they hosted thier annual Turkey Giveaway, providing much-needed holiday meals to families and individuals facing food insecurity in Yonkers. A total of 160 turkeys, along with all the traditional trimmings, where distributed to those in need.
Recipients included residents of Saint Joseph’s Landy court supportive housing development, patients at the Saint Joseph’s Family Health Center outpatient health center, and individuals receiving mental health services at the hospital.
This heartwarming initiative was made possible through the generous support of Saint Joseph’s Medical Center and the tireless efforts of the saint Joseph’s Auxiliary, led by moira Kiernan, Member of the Board of Trustees and President of the Auxiliary.
